Haley Bennett and Peter Dinklage to reprise their roles in “Cyrano” musical movie adaptation
A brand new musical movie is in the works, based on the off-broadway production starring the two stars. Peter Dinklage, who played the lead at Goodspeed Opera House in 2018 and Off-Broadway in 2019 as well as Haley Bennett who played Roxanne in the 2018 production will reprise their roles. According to deadline, Ben Mendelsohn and Brian Tyree will also join the cast. Cyrano was co-created by librettist Erica Schmidt and adapted from Edmond Rostand’s work. Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall is cancelled
Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the Radio City Music Hall’s show has to be called off by MSG Entertainment. This is a first in the Christmas Spectacular’s history since its premiere in 1933. This year’s run was scheduled from November 6, 2020 to January 3, 2031. In a statement, MSG Entertainment said : “We are disappointed for everyone involved with the show, as well as for the many fans who make the Christmas Spectacular a cherished part of their holiday tradition. Yes, we’re confused too. An untitled musical about Lady MacBeth could be in the works as Channing Tatum, Scooter Braun, John McPhail and Amazon Studios are teaming up to produce it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Braun, Scott Manson and James Shin will produce the project through SB Projects, while Tatum, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan and Michael Parets will produce it through Free Association. The show was initially meant to open this month but will now begin on January 26 in Cardiff. It will then embark on a national tour across UK and Ireland, making stops at Dartford, Liverpool, Bradford, Northampton, Bristol, Edinburgh, Wimbledon, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Salford, Nottingham, Hull, Milton Keynes, Bromley, Oxford and Woking, with further dates to be revealed.
