An untitled musical about Lady MacBeth could be in the works as Channing Tatum, Scooter Braun, John McPhail and Amazon Studios are teaming up to produce it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Braun, Scott Manson and James Shin will produce the project through SB Projects, while Tatum, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan and Michael Parets will produce it through Free Association. Tatum, known for his roles in Step Up, Magic Mike and 21 Jump Street is no stranger to the theatre world as he was one of the producers for the Magic Mike musical.

Lady Macbeth is the key player in Shakespeare’s Macbeth as her husband is the one killing the king, consumed by his wife ambition. Even though details have been released about the project, it is said that the musical will target a young adult audience, focusing on “a teenage girl who grapples with her own morality as she contends with the dreadful consequences of her ambition.”
