Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the Radio City Music Hall’s show has to be called off by MSG Entertainment. This is a first in the Christmas Spectacular’s history since its premiere in 1933. This year’s run was scheduled from November 6, 2020 to January 3, 2031.
In a statement, MSG Entertainment said : “We are disappointed for everyone involved with the show, as well as for the many fans who make the Christmas Spectacular a cherished part of their holiday tradition. We look forward to welcoming audiences back for the 2021 production.”
Tickets for the 2021 run are already on sale as tickets for the 2020 production will be automatically refunded at the point of purchase.
Formed in 1925, The Rockettes perform each year the annual Christmas Special to 1 million ticket buyers around the country. It is globally known for its quick ad precise choreography –and kick, and the famous number of the wooden-soldier.
