A brand new musical movie is in the works, based on the off-broadway production starring the two stars. Peter Dinklage, who played the lead at Goodspeed Opera House in 2018 and Off-Broadway in 2019 as well as Haley Bennett who played Roxanne in the 2018 production will reprise their roles. According to deadline, Ben Mendelsohn and Brian Tyree will also join the cast.

Cyrano was co-created by librettist Erica Schmidt and adapted from Edmond Rostand’s work. It chooses to emphases on the title character’s height rather than his nose.

The show features music by Aaron and Bryce Dessner, with lyrics by Matt Berninger and Carin Besser. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title will produce the movie along with Guy Heeley.
