West End performances of The Prince Of Egypt cancelled until 31 October

The Nederlander Theatres have cancelled all West End performances of The Prince Of Egypt up until and including 31 October. In their latest statement, Nederlander Theatres said: “We have now cancelled all performances of The Prince of Egypt at The Dominion Theatre, up until and including Saturday 31 October.” “This does not mean theatres will reopen following these dates; if further postponements and cancellations are necessary, they will continue to be announced on a rolling basis. Olivia Colman and Ben Platt to guest star in The Simpson

The stage performers will be lending their voices to the series later this year. Colman and Platt will be  joining the famous animated show for its upcoming 32nd season, as revealed at 2020’s virtual Comic Con. Alan Menken earns EGOT Status With Daytime Emmy Award Win

A few days after his 71st birthday, Alan Menken achieves EGOT status by winning a Daytime Emmy Awards for “Waiting In The Wings” from Disney Channel’s Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure. He shares the Outstanding Original Song in a Children’s, Young Adult, or Animated Program award with lyricist Glenn Slater. The composer became the 16th person in history to win a competitive Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Back in 2012, Menken won the Best Original Score Tony Award in 2012 for Newsies. Lin-Manuel Miranda pleased our ears on may 21st by dropping an early demo of his oscar-nominated track “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, featuring the one and only Phillipa Soo. According to Miranda, the track was recorded in a dressing room at The Public Theatre back in 2015, when Soo and Miranda were rehearsing for the Off-Broadway debut of Hamilton. SMASH could be heading to Broadway : A musical is in development
