Full cast announced for The Jungle Book at The Dukes
The Dukes in Lancaster have today announced the full cast for their annual Summer ‘Play in the Park’ at Lancaster’s Williamson Park, which this year will be The Jungle Book from Friday 22 July – Sunday 28 August. The Dukes has been entertaining generations of families with their summer promenade shows since 1987, attracting a total of more than half a million people. The promenade production, which will be performed Tuesdays-Sundays at 7:15pm, will see audiences guided through a transformed Williamson Park where audiences travel across locations within the park as they follow the story. Nicholas Hytner will direct Guys & Dolls – the first musical to be presented at The Bridge – a musical fable of Broadway based on the story and characters of Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Designs are by Bunny Christie with choreography by Arlene Phillips, associate direction and choreography by James Cousins, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Paul Arditti, musical direction by Tom Brady, orchestrations by Charlie Rosen and casting by Charlotte Sutton. Shakespeare’s Globe Announces Full Cast of ‘Midsummer Mechanicals’
Shakespeare’s Globe is delighted to announce the cast and company for Midsummer Mechanicals opening in Sam Wanamaker Playhouse 28 July – 21 August. The is the first time the Globe is premiering a full-scale production for families and young people.
