Waitress on Broadway just announced that fan favorite Katherine McPhee will be rejoining the cast as the show’s closing Jenna. McPhee previously played Jenna at the Brooks Atkinson as a limited run last year, and originated the role on the West End earlier this year. McPhee will begin her run on November 25, and close out the show with original cast members Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie) on January 5, 2020.
On the West End, Sara Bareilles, who wrote and created the musical, will be joining the london cast as the next Jenna. She’ll be making her west end debut alongside Tony Award winner Gavin Creel who will put on the white coat and stethoscope and reprise Dr Pomatter! The pair will join the cast from 27 January 2020 for 6 weeks only!
The current british cast includes the phenomenal Lucie Jones in the role of Jenna and David Hunter in the role of Dr Pomatter, both of who will be returning to the show in March. The cast also includes Laura Baldwin as Dawn, Sandra Marvin as Becky, Joe Sugg as Ogie, Tamlyn Henderson as Earl, Andrew Boyer as Old Joe and Stephen Leask as Cal.
