Come witness the spectacular! The news has been confirmed on instagram by the Broadway musical itself, Moulin Rouge! will open in the West End in 2021.
The production will begin at the Piccadilly Theatre on march 2021 and will transform the space into the decadent parisian cabaret currently found on Broadway. A mix of luxure, red and sexiness that really brings out the story and the face of “la belle Paris”.
Alex Timbers also confirmed that auditions will begin in six months and will be held by the Broadway creative team and casting director Pippa Ailion.
Based on the 20th century fox movie of the same name, the broadway cast currently includes Karen Olivo as Satine, Aaron Tveit as Christian, Danny Burstein as HArold Zidler, Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam Mutu as The Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas as Santiago and Robyn Hurder as Nini.
Moulin Rouge! also includes an incredible ensemble featuring Jacqueline B. Arnold as La Chocolat, Holly James as Arabia, Jeigh Madjus as Baby Doll, Ashley loren, Amber Ardolino, Olutayo Bosede, Kyle Brown, Sam J. Cahn, Max Clayton, Karli Dinardo, Aaron C Finley, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Bahiyah Hibah, Ericka Hunter, Evan Kinnane, Reed Luplau, Morgan Marcell, Caleb Marshall, Brandtz Martinez, Jodi McFadden, Kaitlin Mesh, Kevyn Morrow, Fred Odgaard, Dylan Paul, Khori Michelle Petinaud and Benjamin Rivera.
Ahead of the London transfer, Moulin Rouge! The Musical previously announced a Melbourne production in 2021 and a North American Tour that will launch in november 2020.
