Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall is cancelled

Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the Radio City Music Hall’s show has to be called off by MSG Entertainment. This is a first in the Christmas Spectacular’s history since its premiere in 1933. This year’s run was scheduled from November 6, 2020 to January 3, 2031. In a statement, MSG Entertainment said : “We are disappointed for everyone involved with the show, as well as for the many fans who make the Christmas Spectacular a cherished part of their holiday tradition. SMASH could be heading to Broadway : A musical is in development

Words by Léna Fontaine A musical adaptation of the NBC Series “SMASH” is said to be in the works with Steven Spielberg, Robert Greenblatt and Neil Meron as lead producers. The news was announced shortly after the Bombshell In Concert benefit stream featuring the two show’s stars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty. The online concert featured songs from the fictional musical which played on Broadway for one night only in 2015. Broadway’s Frozen to remain closed after the Pandemic

Which means the show have played its final performance on March 11, after 26 previews and 825 performances. Broadway to remain close through summer

The news was confirmed by The Broadway League with a date to resume performances is still yet to be determined. As for the dates and performances that were supposed to take place through september 6 2020, Broadway theatres are offering refunds and exchanges. ‘Hamilton’ movie to be release on Disney+ on July 3rd

While the live recording of the hit musical was only supposed to hit theatres on October 15th, 2021, Disney bumped up the release of “Hamilton” by over a year. The live recording of “Hamilton” will be released on Disney+ on July 3rd! KPOP : The Broadway Musical launches online Open Casting Call

In order to find the perfect cast, even when a global pandemic is striking the globe, producers have launched an online casting call, even if the premiere details are yet to be announced.
