The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! lead the 2026 Tony nominations

The 79th Annual Tony Awards nominations were announced by Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss on Tiesday may 5th, celebrating the best of the 2025-2026 theatre season. The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon lead the nominations with 12 each. Death Of a Salesman, CATS: The Jellicle Ball, The Rocky Horror Show and Ragtime also received multiple nominations.

The lack of nominations for Lea Michele and Aaron Tveit from Chess comes as a surprise. As well as Adrien Brody for Fear of 13.

The Tony Awards 2026 will be held on  on June 7, 2026 with a ceremony hosted by singer and songwriter P!NK.
