He got the moves and he got the style!
Take a look right now at the first trailer for the #JamieMovie ! Following its huge success in the West-End, the movie adaptation of “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” is coming to theatres on February 26. It was originally set to hit the screen this fall but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The movie will star the young Max Harwood as Jamie and Academy Award Nominee Richard E. Grant as Hugo, also known as Loco Channel. The cast also includes Sharon Horgan as Miss Hedge and Sarah Lancashire as Margaret New. Jonathan Butterell and Kate Prince, director and choreographer of the London production, will also reprise their work for the movie adaptation.
It tells the story of Jamie, a young drag queen who overcomes hates and prejudices to become his own person and finally step into the spotlight. A heartwrenching story that moved millions with a documentary and then record-breaking run in the West End.
From the look of it, the movie will stay true to the original source material, with amazing musical numbers and impressive performances by newcomer Max Hardwood and Sarah Lancashire who plays Jamie’s mom, Margaret.
