Before a global pandemic caused theatres around the world the close their doors, Moulin Rouge! The Musical managed to catch a glimpse at what being a Lady Ms is behind-the-scene. back in February, they filmed an exclusive five-parts docuseries focused on the four Lady Ms – Nini, La Chocolat, Arabia and Baby Doll.
Following the sexy quartet, the series acts as a introduction to the world of Moulin Rouge!, taking an intimate look at the life and work of the four peformers who bring them to life every night : Jacqueline B. Arnold (La Chocolat), Robyn Hurder (Nini), Jeigh Madjus (Baby Doll) and Holly James (Arabia).
Talking about the 5-part Docuseries, Justin Levine, music supervisor of the musical said “I think of these four performers as the life-blood of the entire envelope of the show. They bring us in and they end the show. They embody Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love.”
For performer Holly James, the docuseries aims to inspire performers around the world that are under-represented in the industry.
The first episode is already out and focuses on Robyn Hurder, otherwise known as the powerful Nini, who takes our breath away when she’s up on stage performing El Tango de Roxanne with Ricky Rojas.
