Disney fans are in for a treat as ABC unveiled the first promo for The Little Mermaid Live!

The highly anticipated TV event will star Auli’i Cravalho as the famous red-headed mermaid, Queen Latifah as Ursula, Shaggy as Sebastian, John Stamos as the minor antagonist Chef Louis and Graham Phillips as Prince Eric.

Airing on november 5th, the show is described as a “never before seen hybrid format that will take the viewers on a magical trip under the sea as live musical performances by a star-studded cast are interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film.”

The live musical will feature costumes by by three-time Emmy Award-winning designer Zaldy and music from the original animated movie and the Tony-award winning Broadway production originally composed by eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken.

Joining this all-star creative team also are choreographers Nick Florez and RJ Durrell, who recently completed work on Pink’s latest tour.

The Little Mermaid Live is the fourth television special after performances of Grease, RENT and Hairspray.
