Hadestown announces a National Tour

Words by Léna Fontaine The Tony Awards-winning musical ‘HADESTOWN’ will launch a National Tour in fall 2020. The news was announced on ABC’s “Good Morning America” this morning following a performance by the Broadway Cast of a medley of “Way Down Hadestown” and “Wait For Me”. The show will play over 30 cities accross the country including Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orlean, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. More cities and stops will be announced later on. The plot of Waitress centers on small-town diner waitress and expert pie-baker Jenna—portrayed brilliantly on the stage by Christine Dwyer, who, on opening night, was still in the midst of her first full week in the role.
