The Barn Theatre announced extension to The True Adventure of Marian and Robin Hood

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester have today announced that, due to popular demand, their Christmas theatrical production The True Adventures of Marian and Robin Hood will now run at the Cotswold venue until 6 January 2023, adding an extra seven performances. The new take on the classic tale, which rounds out the theatre’s acclaimed 2022 Built by Barn Season, follows archer, swordswoman, and trick rider Marian as she joins forces with her childhood nemesis Robin to thwart her hapless husband-to-be, the Sherriff of Nottingham, and overthrow his evil protector, Prince John. Lydia West to star in the UK premiere of A Play for the Living in a Time of Extinction

Headlong and the Barbican, have today announced that Lydia West (It’s a Sin, Inside Man) will make her stage debut in the UK premiere of A Play for the Living in a Time of Extinction by award-winning playwright Miranda Rose Hall. Directed by Katie Mitchell, West will perform the role of Naomi at the Barbican from 26 – 29 April, ahead of a national tour across the UK, which will see a different local actor and director take on the production at each venue.
