Beaches to play final performance early on May 24th

Beaches, A New Musical, based on the best-selling novel that inspired the blockbuster film, announced today that the production will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, May 24, 2026 after 28 previews and 38 regular performances at the Majestic Theatre.  Plans are currently underway for a national tour to launch in 2027, details to be announced later this year.

The musical began previews on Friday, March 27, and opened on Wednesday, April 22, at the Majestic Theatre (245 W. 44th street).

“Bringing a new musical to Broadway is always an enormous undertaking, and we are deeply proud of this company who created a production filled with heart, humanity, humor, and emotional truth,” said producer Jennifer Maloney-Prezioso. “Night after night, audiences have laughed, cried, called their friends on the way out of the theater, and connected deeply with this story of friendship and love. That impact is real, and it will stay with people long after the final curtain. We are profoundly grateful to everyone who helped bring Beaches to life at the Majestic Theatre, and look forward to sharing this special show with audiences across America on our national tour.

The cast of Beaches, A New Musical, was led by powerhouse stars Jessica Vosk and Kelli Barrett as Cee Cee Bloom and Bertie White and features Sarah Bockel, Harper Burns, Eric Coles, Taylor Sage Evans, Mia Gerachis, Zeya Grace, Joelle Gully, Ben Jacoby, Stephanie Martignetti, Emma Ogea, Olive Ross-Kline, Bailey Ryon, Paul Adam Schaefer, Samantha Schwartz, Brent Thiessen, Lael Van Keuren, and Zurin Villanueva.
