Carl Man, who is currently playing the role of ‘Fiyero’ at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, will take over the role in New York, making his Broadway debut on Tuesday, 3 March, 2026. Jacob Young will perform as ‘Fiyero’ in London from Tuesday, 10 February 2026 until Sunday, 17 May, 2026.
Wicked also marked another incredible milestone last week, celebrating its 7500th performance in its Apollo Victoria Theatre home on Wednesday afternoon.
Carl Man’s portrayal of the charismatic character ‘Fiyero’ began with his engagement as understudy ‘Fiyero’ in the West End’s 15th Anniversary company. Carl went on to perform the principal role across the UK and Ireland as part of the 2023 – 2025 tour company opposite Laura Pick as ‘Elphaba’ and Sarah O’ Connor as ‘Glinda’. He was welcomed back to the West End last spring, where he has since led the London 2025 – 2026 company alongside Emma Kingston (‘Elphaba’) and Zizi Strallen (‘Glinda’). Carl’s final London performance takes place on Sunday, 8 February 2026.
Like Carl, Swansea-born Jacob Young’s talent has been nurtured within the company. Jacob is a current Wicked ensemble member and cover ‘Fiyero.’ His previous stage roles include: For Tonight (Adelphi), Mamma Mia! (Novello), Heathers (The Other Palace), Grease (UK Tour), The Pirate Queen (London Coliseum).
